City of Summerside Announces Successful Community Grant Recipients to Support Vulnerable Populations
Posted on 11/28/2024

Summerside, PE – The City of Summerside is proud to announce the recipients of the Summerside Vulnerable Populations Community Grant, a program designed to provide essential support to organizations dedicated to serving the city’s most vulnerable residents.

This grant offers up to $2,500 per initiative to eligible recipients, including registered not-for-profit organizations and those working toward achieving that status. This funding will empower local groups to address pressing challenges such as food insecurity, housing stability, and accessibility to essential services for seniors, youth, and other at-risk populations.

“The Summerside Vulnerable Populations Community Grant reflects our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Mayor Dan Kutcher. “By providing financial resources to these organizations, we can help tackle issues like the rising cost of living and food insecurity, ensuring our residents receive the support they need to thrive.”

The grant has been fully allocated for the 2024-25 fiscal year, with funding awarded to the following initiatives:
