Emergency Management Program

When an Emergency Strikes

It is assumed by citizens that their local government is prepared to carry out an effective, coordinated response to minimize injury, damage, and losses to people, property, and the environment in the event of an emergency.

As such, every municipality has a responsibility to prepare (to the best of its ability) an Emergency Management Program in the event of any potential threats that may arise from an emergency.

The City of Summerside is developing its emergency measures plan to be followed in the event of a municipal emergency. The plan outlines procedures to be followed and arrangements to be made in order to ensure a prompt and coordinated response by city officials.

A copy of our plan will be made available to the public when it is complete.
