Summerside set to welcome Atlantic Mayors

SUMMERSIDE (September 2, 2020) – Summerside is set to welcome more than 30 Atlantic Canadian Leaders to the 40th Atlantic Mayors' Congress that kicks-off this evening.

The bi-annual Congress offers Atlantic Mayors an opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new perspectives and discuss matters of mutual interest pertaining to municipalities. It will feature a variety of roundtable discussions, panels and guest speakers. Topics will include, Covid-19, physician recruitment, green energy and much more. “Having the opportunity to host the Congress in a year where our City is celebrating 25 years is quite special,” commented Mayor Basil Stewart. “Summerside played host to the Congress in 2017 and we look forward to putting our second to none hospitality on display once again.”

The Atlantic Mayors' Congress will take place in Summerside from September 2-4. Media is invited and encouraged to attend the sessions.
