The City seeks a qualified, seasoned, and well-disciplined Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to be accountable for the overall management and administration of the City's operations and services.  The CAO will report to and take direction from the Mayor and City Council, acting as their principal advisor. You’ll work collaboratively to identify and develop creative strategies and sensible policies which advance the City's well-being and economic growth.

The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of local governance, operational know-how, budgets and finance within the municipal sector. Knowledge of municipal electric utilities is definitely an asset. Relationship building must be exceptional in answering the call for stronger partnerships. You have a reputation for building action-oriented teams and motivating staff to achieve high levels of service excellence.

The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as Lifeguard within the Community Services Department. Duties will include all aspects of supervising and maintaining the Aquatic Centre at Credit Union Place. These positions are part time and full time and also may include evening and weekend shifts.


Current and up to date National Lifeguard Certificate, a valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate are a definite asset. Lifeguards must be in good physical condition, be of good character, have good communications skills, and be courteous to the public.
