1)  Aquatics Evening/Weekend Supervisor, Community Services Department

 The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated, mature, and enthusiastic individuals to work as an Aquatics Supervisor within the Community Services Department. Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Manager, the Aquatics Supervisor performs professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguards and assistant guard functions. This position will assist in the lifeguard and assistant guard hiring introduction process and in the training of new staff. Ensuring safety of patrons in and around the pool and monitoring swimmers while enforcing all safety rules will be paramount. Must possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, customer service skills, and have administrative skills.

Must hold a valid Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certificate. WHIMIS 2015 Education and Training are a definite asset but would also be provided to suitable candidates. Bronze Cross and/or National Lifeguard Certificates do not need to be current but would be an asset.

The City of Summerside’s Aquatics Department is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals for Swimming Lesson Instructors within the Community Services Department.

Applicants must be fun, outgoing and love working with kids and must have a valid Swim Instructor certificate and an updated Standard First Aid Certificate.

Full Time & Part-time Daytime Lifeguards, Community Services Department

The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as Lifeguard within the Community Services Department. Duties will include all aspects of supervising and maintaining the Aquatic Centre at Credit Union Place.

Current National Lifeguard Certificate, a valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate, and WHIMIS 2015 Education are a definite asset but training would also be provided to suitable candidates. Bronze Cross certificate is a requirement and you must be at least 15 years of age to work as a Lifeguard.

Lifeguards must be in good physical condition, be of good character, be able to do admin work, have good communications skills, and be courteous to the public.
