SUMMERSIDE, PE – Get ready to embrace the magic of the holiday season as Yuletide Festival returns to Veteran’s Memorial Square Park on December 6, 7, 14, and 21, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This much-anticipated event, brought to you by Explore Summerside & Downtown Summerside, transforms the heart of downtown Summerside into a winter wonderland brimming with holiday charm, family-friendly activities, and community spirit.

 Highlights of the Yuletide Festival Festivities:

 Yuletide Festival Activities: Games for the whole family, cozy fire pits, and holiday treats, including s’mores, cookies, hot chocolate, apple cider, and popcorn.

 Special Events:

  • December 6: Santa Claus Parade on Water Street at 6:00 PM, following the Santa Claus Parade, at 7:15 PM gather around for the lighting of the City Christmas Tree at Yuletide Festival! Santa will be there to spread holiday cheer during this magical community tradition.

  • December 7: Jingle All The WayFrom 4PM-8PM, drop by our Winter Wonderland in Veterans Memorial Square Park and celebrate the season with music-themed festivities featuring choirs, singalongs, dancing, and more!

  • December 14: Bark! The Herald Angels Sing! From 4PM-8PM, bring your furry friends in holiday costumes for a fun-filled winter evening.

  • December 21: Frosty the Snowman (& Friends)! From 4PM-8PM, Yuletide FestivalVeterans Memorial Square Park, meet Frosty and your favourite holiday characters! Enjoy cheerful songs, photo opportunities, and gift- wrapping services, with donations going to charity.

     Live Performances and Experiences:

    • Carols and musical productions at Harbourfront Theatre, Centre-Belle-Alliance, and the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre.

    • Holiday character appearances, photo opportunities, and charitable gift-wrapping services at the village.

    • Unique exhibits at Lefurgey Cultural Centre and MacNaught History Centre, showcasing Christmas traditions.

      Ongoing Festivities:

      Explore the lights and décor throughout downtown, including Holman’s Christmas Light Gardens, Green’s Shore Park, and Prince County Hospital’s Lights for Life Show.
